Mr. ALLAN DANROTH, Board Member

A native of British Columbia, Allan Danroth began his career in the pulp industry as a power systems engineer, operating high pressure boilers
and turbines in 1994.  In the ensuing years, he has obtained his First Class power engineering designation and went on to lead the restart of the AV Nackawic pulp mill in New Brunswick as Director of Operations.

Currently, Mr. Danroth is Vice-President Operations for Capital Power’s Genesee operations near Edmonton, Alberta.  Genesee is one of the pre-eminent coal fired power facilities in the country and operates one of the nation’s only super-critical boilers.

In addition to being an Inter-provincial Power Engineer, Mr. Danroth is a graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s School of Business and holds a Masters in Business Administration from Athabasca University (2006).  He was one of the founding partners of a NDT firm servicing the oil and gas industry in the late ‘90s and brings with him knowledge of the NDT industry in Canada and the needs of heavy industry with respect to examination techniques.
